The Photojournalism Archive Project is indebted to Donald Graham, whose support in preserving Carol Guzy's work led to the formation of our nonprofit and sustained the archive through its development.

The Photojournalism Archive Project would like to thank the Leonian Foundation for its support in making this online archive possible. We are grateful that they recognized the need to preserve these stories.

One of the biggest challenges we have faced is the fact that the rights to these stories are owned by numerous publications, corporations and individuals, and yet nobody is more aware of the potential loss of these stories than rights holders. We would like to thank:

    • The photographers who control the rights to their work and have agreed to let us display them.
    • The Seattle Times for permission to display the work of Alan Berner.
    • Center for Creative Photography, the University of Arizona for permission to display David Hume Kennerly's work.
    • The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for permission to display the work of Martha Rial.

We would also like to thank the volunteers who have helped bring the archive to life; Gwen Titley Stonesifer for her commitment to the project and help building the site, and the hard work of our first interns Charlotte Dowdy and Rania Mouawad.
